Announcement of fifth Call for cooperation projects between Berlin Brandenburg and Poland regarding Optical Technologies

SenWiEnBe, MWAE and NCBR start off for their fifth trilateral R&D&I-Call

The National Centre for Research and Development, Poland (NCBR), the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, Berlin (SenWiEnBe) and the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy, Brandenburg (MWAE) aim to pursue their support for trilateral research, development and innovation (R&D&I) projects in the field of photonics with the topic

„Photonics, microelectronics and quantum technologies as key enabling technologies for the digital transformation, energy transition, smart mobility and life sciences“.

Funding for the Berlin and Brandenburg consortium partners will be provided under the Programme for the Promotion of Research, Innovation and Technology (ProFIT). The NCBR provides a separate funding instrument for the Polish part of the consortium. It is recommended to consult the Photonics Cluster Management Berlin Brandenburg before submitting applications.

Continuation of the internationalisation activities of the successful PHOENIX programme

The state of Berlin supported the previous partnership between Berlin and Warsaw in the field of optical technologies by establishing the Photonics & Optoelectronics Network (PHOENIX). The network activities have resulted in excellent contacts with excellently equipped research institutions throughout Poland. Last but not least, PHOENIX created the basis for the present joint agreement between the two regions and countries on the support of bi- and trilateral collaborative projects in a joint call.

The project partners are Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH and Optec-Berlin-Brandenburg (OpTecBB) e.V. Further information on the PHOENIX programme can be found under the link below.
