Displaying this wide range of applications in industry and research, Laser Technology is one the most important activity fields of the Photonics Cluster Berlin-Brandenburg. The key to the success of the region is the strong research environment with its close connections to local industry. Thus, during the last years, in the capital region a variety of network structures has been established, providing companies and research institutions access to resources, as knowledge and capital, at both local and international level.
